Intel, the world leader in semiconductor manufacturing, is undertaking a project worth approximately 20 billion PLN in Miękinia near Wrocław. The semiconductor integration and testing plant will be the largest high-tech investment in the Central and Eastern European region, according to the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH). It is expected to employ over 2,000 workers, mainly highly qualified specialists and engineers in the production area.
The entire venture, including the activities of the investor and its partners, will contribute to creating at least 10,000 new jobs. The plant will be located on an area of nearly 300 hectares and will become a significant element driving the development of Lower Silesia and all of Poland. The location was chosen due to its developed infrastructure and proximity to technical universities, thus ensuring a pool of skilled workers.
“Intel’s investment in Poland is more than just another factory. It’s a project that can revolutionize the Polish economy – opening a new chapter in the history of our industry. Therefore, the Industrial Development Agency has made every effort to seize this opportunity,” says ARP Vice President Krzysztof Michalski.
Industry development and the local market
Intel, Wrocław-based companies opening their branches in Środa County, and every other new project are not limited to creating jobs in the technology sector. It also involves the dynamic development of local infrastructure, bringing many benefits to the community and the economy. One of the main aspects of this development is transportation. The Intel factory will cooperate with the local government and transport companies, leading to road modernization and improved transport accessibility.
Investment potential in housing
As the Miękinia region becomes more attractive to investors and IT specialists, the demand for new housing is also increasing. Our residential investments, such as Nowa Winnica Miękinia and Zielona Lutynia, located a short distance from the semiconductor testing plant, respond to these needs. It is expected that in the near future, the demand for housing in the area will rise, making the currently built apartments an excellent investment instrument.
Nowa Winnica is an estate of terraced houses and multi-family homes that stand out with their modern design and functionality. This investment guarantees living in a charming, quiet, and peaceful environment, while being close to workplaces and the center of Wrocław. Thanks to convenient transport connections, travel to the city is quick and comfortable.
Zielona Lutynia is also an investment that combines harmony with nature and proximity to the city. The apartments here provide access to greenery and recreational areas, which is extremely attractive for families. With the growing importance of Miękinia as a technological center, residents can be assured of employment prospects in the immediate vicinity.
